Violin
Ms. Yuki Liew started her violin studies at NAFA School of Young Talents at the age of 5 with Zhang Ying. At the age of 10, she made her first public debut as a soloist for the Singapore Youth Festival and attained the Gold Award. Afterwards, she furthered her education at School of the Arts (SOTA) where she studied violin with Lee Shi Mei and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB). Following her graduation, she gained admission into the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the UK where she pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Music with Honours, specialising in Violin Performance. While she was there, she had the honour of receiving mentorship from Hector Scott and Tamás Fejes, whom she also acquired knowledge from in Violin pedagogy.
While in the UK, Yuki had the opportunity to perform alongside globally acclaimed classical musicians and collaborate with esteemed conductors. She has extensive experience teaching violin both in the United Kingdom and Singapore. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Yuki has accumulated experience as both a soloist and an orchestral musician. Currently, she performs with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra in Singapore.
In 2021, she was selected to perform for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow. During her studies abroad, she also had opportunities to have masterclasses with internationally renowned violinists. With her experience and passion for music, she is committed to fostering a love for music in her students and helping them achieve their full musical potential.
