Jia Hui

Co-Principal & Violin Teacher

Ms. Jia graduated from Hebei Normal University in China with a Bachelor’s degree in Music, studying under Professor Han Mei. She furthered her studies with professors from Beijing’s Central Conservatory of Music, including Principal Liu Haoyu of Melody Strings, and Zuo Jun, Associate Professor at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, with a focus on music education and violin performance.





In 2016 and 2017, she performed with renowned French pianist Richard Clayderman. In 2018, she won second prize at the Singapore International Strings Conference. From 2018 to 2020, she actively participated in numerous international music masterclasses, learning from world-class performers and educators such as Ning Feng, Qian Zhou, Zhang Le, Sergei Dogadin, and Takashi Shimizu. She also trained with Professor Xie Nan (Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing), Professor Joel Smirnoff (Juilliard School), and Professor Kim Nam-Yun (Korea National University of Arts). Additionally, she has organized and performed in many violin competitions and events in Singapore.





Ms. Jia has extensive teaching experience and has successfully guided over 200 students to achieve excellent results in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. Many of her students have also won awards in various music competitions. Furthermore, she has helped numerous students gain admission through the DSA (Direct School Admission) process into top Singapore schools such as Nanyang Girls’ High School, Dunman High School, and Hwa Chong Institution.
