Born into a musical family, Connie began learning the piano at the age of three. She graduated from the Affiliated Secondary School of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music before furthering her studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore, majoring in Piano Performance. She later obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of West London.
Throughout her musical journey, Connie studied under renowned teachers including Professor Li Xiaojun, Mrs Lim Tshui Fang, and Professor Wu Yang, and participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists such as Danwen Wei, Yunqing Zhou, Kseniia Vokhmianina, and Nicholas Ong.
As an accomplished performer, Connie has received numerous awards, including:
- 1st Prize – Yamaha International Piano Competition (Regional Round)
- 3rd Prize – Singapore International Classical Piano Competition (2018)
- 1st Prize – Singapore International Music Festival (2019)
She has also performed and helped organise piano concerts at prestigious venues including The Lee Foundation Theatre, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and the National University of Singapore Concert Hall.
With years of teaching experience in Singapore, Connie is passionate about nurturing each student’s musical growth. Her students have consistently achieved excellent results in ABRSM examinations, and many have gone on to win awards at both local and international piano competitions. She is dedicated to building a strong technical foundation while developing musical expression, confidence, and a genuine love for music.
